Southern California: Tuesday, November 14th 2006.
It was a small town, located on an old Highway. Like many small places, it had gotten a by-pass: a big, wide Interstate. But since that had opened, most folks just by-passed the town, in a hurry to get some place else. That suited him just fine.
He parked his old Triumph Bonneville on its side-stand outside of the only diner visible on Main Street. Safely stowing the key in a pocket in his jeans, he removed one arm from his backpack’s shoulder harness and strode inside without bothering to remove his Wayfarer sunglasses.
There appeared to be only two customers: one, a man not far removed from vagrancy; the other, seated well away, a middle-aged woman who regarded her fellow diner suspiciously. She turned to appraise the newcomer. Her eyes lit up momentarily, but then she sighed in resignation at the loss of her allure, and continued with her meal.

John and Cameron love each other!

- sometimes I think what would have happened to John when he jumped into the future and I think he probably would have eventually became the leader of mankind
- but his sole purpose was to find Cameron so that they could back to the past
- and eventually he realizes he cant find her and he cant go back
- so he waits for Allison to get captured
- and then for Cameron to come back impersonating Allison
I see it like this.
- He jumps to the future and no one knows him. He is just a normal soldier. He’s 17 years old; he can’t be future John. It took future John from 2021-2027 to get a resistance big enough to fight Skynet. Well, John is currently in 2027 given that Allison looks just like Cameron.
- He would find Cameron and John Henry and at some point, they’d create a new body for her.
- They would return to the past to fight and stop Skynet. In my opinion, this is the point of the the show, stopping billions of people from dying.
This allows for change and it means that what the character do matters!

Disentangling his fingers from his cyborg protector/best friend’s, John threw his hands up in frustration, not failing to notice the pissy look on her face at the same time. “This is stupid! Why the hell do I even need to learn this?”
